Play That Funky Music....

Better than saying "I'm in a funk." But the truth is I kind of am. You know what I do when I'm in a funk. I take my funk shopping. Today, my funk and I went to Hobby Lobby. Which I have decided that I like better than Michael's for scrapbooking stuff. Oh, my gosh. My funk told me that it would be so cool to buy anything and everything I wanted because there were so many COOL things. And I'm in a funk and you know how retail therapy helps to make you feel better. And my scrapbook pages are pretty boring these days. I ignored my funk's excitement, only putting a few things in my basket...but when I got up to checkout line, my funk and I had to leave the basket and the stuff because there was only one cashier and a line with at least ten people in it. Funk and I had to go back to work.

Ava is lucky I am not within an arm's length of her sweet little smart mouth. Let me tell you what's "not fair." What's not fair is that I have to work all day and come home to a kid who's been bumming on her butt watching Disney Channel. I do not think it's "unfair" to ask her to straighten her room and fold some laundry. She's going to think "unfair" when get home if that blasted laundry isn't folded and put away.

On a happier note, I'm trying to come up with an idea for a scrapbook page on Monkey...and one for Ava (not a good time to try to be sentimental with her). I've got some pictures of each that I want to scrap but I want these pages to have some real meaningful journaling and a cool theme. I also have some pictures of my dogs...and I'm thinking about doing a page where the journaling is from their point of view and about their quirks because all of them have them. Then I've got art work from Art Camp that I want to scrapbook. That will make me current with this year's book and I can either move on to an older book or take some more pictures. I've been looking at other layouts that other scrapbookers have done and I've decided that I'm not that good. Ava and Monkey and anyone else that sees my books think I'm wonderful. I hope they never look at anyone else's.

Oh, and I've got this idea for a page about going back to school....something like...Why 6th Grade Rocks. I don't know...I'm working on it.

I'm still feeling zapped. But I'm fighting it.

Later Dudettes.
