Thank God, it's Friday...

I know...it's a boring title. Very unoriginal. But you know what...it's Friday...and I'm too blasted tired to think about another title. I know you really don't give a flip about it...so why am I writing about it? I don't have a clue.

I started my Thursday Thirteen yesterday cause yall know I love lists. But I never got around to finishing it because sometimes, I have to work. I hate it when that happens. But now and again, it happens.

I am giving up fast food today with Kara. Sounds easy to you. But you are wrong. According to her rules, "sammich" places don't count as fast food. According to my rules, fish places don't count. Have you ever been in Louisiana during Lent? Cajun Catfish on Fridays is a must.

I've been struggling with getting my webstore up and running...but finally, yesterday, I found the answer. I should make my mid-April goal for opening after all. I can't wait! I'm a nervous wreck because I really want to be really successful. But I'm one determined soul! I'm expecting three rather large merchandise orders today and another one on Monday and one in two weeks. This is the part of the business that I love. I love the financial end of it. I love the merchandising end. I'm going to love filling orders and promotion. But I didn't like the initial setup of the website. I'm glad I found the answer to that. I'm learning that in business...you do what you do well and let the experts do what you don't do well. It may cost a little money but it's worth it in the long run.

My to-do list for this weekend is a mile long. Monkey is going on a trail ride that Ava and I were supposed to go on but because of everything I have to do...just Monkey is going. Monkey told me today that we really need to find someone to come and clean our house...because he would like me to go on more rides with him. I agree. 100 percent. I guess I could leave the house dirty and laundry on the floor in the laundry room....and the garden unplanted and no groceries in the house...and so on and so on...but I just can't do that. Even though I'd rather ride than do chores....but sometimes, you just gotta work.

I went to Lowe's at lunch and I bought a van load of flowers, shrubs and veggies to plant this weekend. Yall remember my pretty garden last year? The one that Rita destroyed. I'm ready to replant and get it pretty again. Heavens...I hope we're done with hurricanes. I bought tomatoes, bush beans, bush peas, bush cucumbers (did you know there was a such a thing?), squash, spinach and watermelons to plant. Last year, the watermelons didn't do a thing. But AnnaBanana has to plant watermelons every year. I'm going to try them in a different spot this year. Maybe we'll do better. I'm anxious to get out there and get things planted again!

It was no surprise to me that Lisa went home this week on American Idol. But having Katharine in the bottom three was a crock of crap. Proof votes don't really count. They put whoever they want to in the bottom three...for drama, for shock value...whatever. There is no way Katharine got fewer votes than Bucky. No way on this earth. I have so cooled down about this because I was ready to give AI up forever Wednesday night. Bucky should have gone home before Lisa...but once again, they keep who they want to...all for their own purposes.]

I am so ready to get this weekend started. Even if I'm spending it doing chores. At least it will be doing things that make me happy.

Later Dudettes.
