Thirteen Things I love...

Thirteen Things Marybeth loves 1. God...I am a spiritual person. I deeply reflective person. I love the worshipful nature of church. But I do not consider myself (and would be highly offended if you did) to be the typical run of the mill Christian. I am Christian....just not the kind that insists that everybody has to do it their way or go to hell. My faith is based in love and tolerance...not evangelicalism. I believe living a life of faith based on what I value (love for all among other things) will bring others to God a lot faster than beating people over the head with your own personal agendas. I hate it when people use God as a crutch. Major pet peeve. (Okay...I realize that two posts ago was not an example of love for all. Did I mentioned I was an unperfect Christian.) 2. Ava...I can say nothing else except this is perfect love. She is the most wonderful thing in my life. Even though she wonders sometimes, yes...more wonderful than my dogs. 3. Monkey...He's a man. Being married is tough sometimes. But you know...I couldn't have found a more wonderful partner in life. I am so lucky to share my life with this man. Yeah, I am. 4. Dogs, Cats, and Horses...I love my dogs, my cats, my horses. I love your pets, too...as long as they are cats, dogs, and horses. I just can't bring myself to have feelings for spiders and snakes. I just can't. I love the animals in the woods and in the jungle...as long as they aren't spiders and snakes. Of course, I'm all about letting spiders and snakes live...just not anywhere close to me. Animals always make me smile. My animals can always make my mood better...which is a good thing around my house. Cause you know if mama ain't happy, nobody is. My family loves my animals, too. 5. My home...This is my little piece of heaven. When it's clean...and the laundry is done. Which is well...uh, not everyday. 6. My friends...This goes without saying but I guess I should. I am so thankful for my friends. If it had not been for you all these years, I would not be the person I am today. Yall done good! 7. Scrapbooking...This is one of my passions. One that I've really neglected in the last eight or nine months. Choo Choo took my scrapbook room. So I haven't scrapbooked. But I am missing it so bad. I feel the need to scrapbook. Yes, I do. 8. Books...Books are good for my soul. I love books that I can devour. Books that I can't put down. They don't have to be fiction...I love non-fiction, too. I love the way a book makes me feel when I'm snuggled under a quilt with Daisy by my side. Oh, or is that the quilt...or the bed...or Dai-Dai? Oh, anyway, I love good books. 9. Traveling...I love to travel. I love seeing new places...experiencing new cultures. I love taking pictures and scrapbooking my memories. I can not wait to experience Italy! 10. Eating...I'm from Louisiana! What did you expect? 11. Riding horses...This is what heaven will be like. Good enough reason to try to make it there if you ask me. 12. Napping...Did I mention that I love snuggling down under a quilt with Dai-Dai by my side? 13. Shopping...I really like to shop when I actually have money to spend. Always makes it so much more fun. 14. An extra bonus for ya today...Blogging and reading yall's blogs. One of my favorite ways to spend my computer time!
