Pop A Top Again...
Every time I open a can of Diet Coke and the top makes that popping sound...I sing "Pop a top again." An earworm that makes me laugh every time I open a Diet Coke.I want something but I don't know what I want. These last few days, I have wanted to eat everything in sight. Nothing really satisfies my hunger...maybe it's work boredom...I'm not sure. This morning, I tried animal crackers but that didn't do it. So after one animal cracker, I tried Dill Pickle Potato Chips. These are pretty darned good. I wonder what will be next cause it's fixing to be lunch time. Hummm....(I bet yall are wondering too! (Sarcasism.))
Well, that English test is over. I have to say that there were no surprises. No surprises didn't make it easier. But...well, it doesn't matter. It's over.
Tonight, Ava has to finish her science project...and fast because yall know what tonight is!!! American Idol! You know it's sad that my week revolves around Tuesday and Wednesday night television. I mean...not really. But yeah...really. 7:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings...life stops at our house. Actually, if you think about it...and obviously, I have...life doesn't stop. It just gets better. I mean...not that AI makes it better...but Ava and I make a concentrated effort to stop the craziness of life and settle down together. Sometimes, Monkey is there and sometimes, ChooChoo is there. But Ava and I are ALWAYS there...and it's pretty cool to spend quality time with your kid even if it's during a pop culture reality show. It's important to her...and to me. American Idol...bringing families together. (Huhhhh....I swear AI needs to hire me!)
In an effort to save $15.00, Choo Choo took a head shot of me and I had it printed wallet-sized. It wasn't the most beautiful picture but hey, it was me. It was okay. So yesterday at lunch, I head off to the post office to get my passport. Okay...yall, I'm 36 years old and I've never needed a passport. Hey, I'm learning...all this stuff is new to me. But honestly, I'm thinking that I really need to travel internationally more often...I mean once I go through all the stuff I have to do to get a passport...why just use it once? Don't yall think this is good logic? Anyway...the picture was too close up (I told Choo Choo that!) and I needed to fill out the application. Okay...SOOOOOO...today, I'm going to go by Walgreen's to have THEM take a passport picture of me. (Makeup in the car.) Hey...I'm still saving a little money. It's $7.99 there. Then I'll go at lunch tomorrow to turn in the application. Then I found out that it will take four to six weeks before I get the darned passport. Oyh.
I love Altoids. Cinnamon Altoids. I like the mints and the gum. But I am a glutton for punishment. They are "curiously strong"...and they burn the fool out of my mouth. Like fire...really. But they are like a drug..."curiously strong?"...and I keep eating them...what do they put in Altoids that make them so addictive. Just tell me that, will ya?
Later Dudettes.
