Hello from Personality #21...

1. Monkey says every time I buy a new book, I start having new ideas about stuff and it freaks him out. He says my personality changes with every book. (He's the crazy one. And I let him know it. Just so yall know.) So the joke around my house is that I have at least 2,984 different personalities (because I'm not sure on the count but I'm thinking in my lifetime, I've read at least that many books. Give or take.). I am really playing up this multiple personality crap...and actually having a freaking blast with his head. 2. I started reading Finding Your Own North Star by Martha Beck this week. Last night, I read (and I paraphrase)...It is not until we can take joy in those things that are not permanment that we can find true happiness. I told this to Monkey this morning. He thought I was very, very wise. I told him it was Personality #34. (A side note: AnnaBanana has been staying with us again this week. She goes back to her other grandmother tomorrow...and I'm not dealing with her leaving very well at all. So this passage meant a whole heck of a lot to me...and this was why Monkey thought I was so wise.) 3. I have been having so much fun over at Lisa's. You talk about living some major drama. I hope it all works out okay for Lisa...and I feel guilty for enjoying her stories...even though I'm quite sure that's the point of her telling them. I'd like to rearrange the faces of several people myself. I love the fact that she actually did what I only dream of. Personality #67. 4. I had the chittiest day yesterday. I didn't post yesterday because I didn't want yall to have the chittiest day, too. Personality #8. 5. Did I tell yall that Ava had a science fair project last week? Well, this weekend will be filled with painting a backdrop for a play she had to write...AND another science project that due next week. And me...I have to work on our Milton handout and get my part of the presentation down pat. Catch up on my reading...poetry and Shakespeare. Work on my paper. Just really playing catch up and get organized. (That over-acheiverness and ultra-organizedness...Personality #92.) 6. The next time I have to have a co-worker, I've decided that it will be my dog, Sam. He's the coolest. I need to post a picture. Cause yall will fall in love with him. I know I like him better than most people. Personality #1,508. 7. I think this is why I was drawn to Finding Your Own North Star because I want to work with my dog. Anything that will lead me where I want to be is a good thing. I guess I just need to figure out exactly where it is want to be. Personality #29, #34 and #1,508. 8. For the record, I debated as to whether to use "schitzo" in this post. I, in no uncertain terms, want to seem derogatory or belittling to other schitzos. I use this term in jest...much like Lisa uses the word "Psycho." Except not exactly...cause I'm thinking she's not really using that word in jest. 9. I don't know...maybe I'm not really schitzo. I'm running out of personalities. Shhhhhh...don't tell Monkey. 10. If you wake up one morning with a hump on your nose that you are sure is going to turn into a fever blister...don't buy that Abreva stuff. It's $12.97 and it's only .07 grams or something. It's a little tiny tube of stuff even though with the amount of packaging...that is quite deceiving. Anyway...it dries up the humpy fever blister thing...and makes it look 100% worse. Use Vaseline. It's cheaper and it heals...doesn't dry it up so it looks like you have some type of leprosy or something. (Again I debated on whether to use the word "leprosy." I mean no disrespect to any lepers who read this blog.) 11. Wish I had a cup of hot chocolate to drop this Ghirardelli Raspberry Chocolate square into. I'm all about Raspberry Chocolate these days. Way too much about Raspberry Chocolate. 12. This is just a thought. I really need change my diet. 13. What no American Idol post? I know...I know. Yall are worried about me. Have no fear. I watched. I like the way it looks but I will write more next week after I can see them perform again. There's one girl that I already want to see go...but I can't remember her name. (Simon called her a nightmare. I agree.) The girls are pretty and most of them can sing pretty good. But I think this season, it's all about the guys! We shall see.
