Thank God last week is over...
Last week was the week from hell. This is why I have not posted. I have not been able to catch my breath. Actually, I did try to post last Tuesday night...after American Idol but for some reason, it didn't post...and I didn't have the energy to try again. I think there's a pretty good possibility of a decent season. It's hard to tell now...but I remember Carrie's audition...and how I thought right then and there...there's the next American Idol. Bo took my heart as the competition heated up but even in audition, Carrie stood out. The only one that stood out to me was the first of the Barrettsmith (I'm not sure of the spelling of their name) sisters to sing. It seemed like the judges liked the second one better but I liked the first one. But it's early and too hard to narrow down anyone yet. Oh, and I liked the little cowboy...his story...not necessarily his voice. I thought it showed that Simon actually did have a heart when he let him go through to Hollywood. If for nothing else...to give him his dream of flying in an airplane.Last week, I started out with British Writers and French II. Then I dropped the French II because time was an issue...and I didn't see how I could keep up with life and school going to class five days a week on my lunch hour...blah, blah, blah. Then I decided to pick up an education class, The Exceptional Child. I wasn't excited about it after I went to class Thursday night. But I didn't drop it until today. I just couldn't figure out when I was going to do seven observations in five different types of Special Education situations plus five different abstracts plus community service (yes, it's required in this class) plus keep up with my English class (which I love dearly by the way), my job and the laundry. So now, I'm down to just three hours of British Writers. I am so loving that class. We've done Beowulf and last night I read The Canterbury Tales. I've got a paper due in early March that I'm doing on Pagan Symbolism in Christianity. Kind of interesting...I actually can't believe that it was approved considering where I am. Katya...can you believe it? Anyway, after The Canterbury Tales, I'll be reading Arthurian Legend.
My computer is running so freaking slow. It's driving me crazy.
It would seem that after over a week of not writing, I'd have a ton of stuff to talk about. But I guess...after work (which is majorly overwhelming and insane right now), school (which is the only thing keeping me sane right now), and home stuff (which is majorly overwhelming and insane right now)...there's not much more to talk about. Oh, yeah...Monkey, Ava and I went on a trail ride Saturday. Pretty fun.
Mardi Gras is coming up. I'm sick of the cold weather. I'm ready for Spring. All I feel like doing these days is sleeping. But I'm not doing much of that at all.
Well, there's my life in a boring little nutshell.
