Productive Laundry Day...

Sometimes doing the laundry pays. I found $33.00 and some change in the dryer. The rule is whoever finds money in the dryer is a little richer. Today it was me. But come to think about it. It usually is me...doing the laundry...which is probably why I created the "finders keepers" rule.

Tomorrow is my mama's birthday. I didn't forget when it was. But I realized that it was tomorrow in church when I was looking at the alterserver schedule. Thank heavens...I would have just died if I forgot her birthday. I called her and told her to meet me at my office tomorrow and I'd take her to lunch and to Goody's. She wants a new purse. Happy birthday to my mama!

I wandered out to my garden spot this afternoon. I've poured over my newest Henry Fields and Michigan Bulb seed catalogs all weekend. I'm thinking...I'm ready for spring. I'm ready to replant my beautiful garden. I was thinking and looking at the land around me on the way home from church. Everything looks completely burnt up. It is quite ugly. Everything. Yards, fields, pastures...everything looks as if it had been set on fire. Not black but burnt up. I can honestly say that it has probably rained five times since July. Seriously. One of those times was when Rita came through...it rained so much in 24 hours time...but all the water was gone the next morning. We are even drier now. I'm hoping for a green, healthy, and beautiful spring. I imagine it will be a while before it's spring...because we usually get our coldest weather in January and February...but who knows these days? Only the Big Guy. I guess, I'll just work my garden spot...and try to get things ready to plant for when the warm weather comes to stay. Well, I'm off to www.henryfields.com and www.michiganbulb.com to dream about the garden of my dreams.

Later Dudettes.
