And The Next American Idol is....
Paris Bennett. Simple as that. We can get on with this competition now. She was perfection in the simplest form. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe her voice. She seemed down to earth...just precious. It's kinda like Carrie was last year...after her audition...you're left thinking "why hasn't this girl been discovered already?" This little lady will be standing when there's only two contestants left. I'm feeling pretty sure of this.Actually, there were a few good ones last night. The guy that sang God Bless the Broken Road...Ryan Batesman (I think) was sexy as heck and had a very sexy country voice. I can see him doing well...even though I'm not sure he'll make it all the way in the competetion. The girl who had four little ones...I think she's the one who had been in like 42 foster homes and group homes...the one who looked like a young Whitney Houston. Now, Whitney Houston turns my stomach. I can't stand her. But this young lady was precious...and her story was one that makes me feel like she deserves a good chance. This girl got her GED and went to college...and worked hard to get her children out of public housing. I like her and she should be admired for what she's accomplished with her life already. Another one with a good voice and a good story is Kelly Pickler. She was precious, too. I'm thinking that this season may be pretty good after all. Well, tonight...it's San Francisco auditions. I'm ready for Hollywood.
In other news, Mama's friend was surprised about the little party. They left in time for Idol. I couldn't sleep last night. Tonight, I have to read about King Arthur and watch Idol again. I heard about a book by Martha Beck called Finding Your Own North Star that I'd like to read but tell me when I am going to have time to read a book other than my British Literature textbook? The clutter in my life is majorly overwhelming my life right now. Why can't I make it go away for good? My computer is at the doctor as we speak. I hope she's okay. Okay...back to your regularly scheduled programing.
Later Dudettes.
