Random musings of the day...
We got off work today at noon for Fall break. I can't remember the last time I was in this house alone without a million things screaming at me to get them done. But this afternoon I sit alone in my bedroom with only my dogs pestering me. The only thing looming is five hundred loads of laundry that have to be dried, folded and put away once Mr. O delivers my new dryer this afternoon round about 2:00 pm. Yes, People...I'm getting a new dryer! Now, you know when you get excited about getting a new dryer...something's happened. I don't know. Somewhere along the line, my priorities changed...and a washer and dryer moved way up on the list.A must have had a 24 hour bug and not the flu. That is if she comes home well this afternoon. She felt like going to school this morning so I'm guessing she'll be fine this afternoon. It may have been a matter of mind over body because she knew she wasn't going to the fair tonight if she was still sick. I'm not too keen on letting her go even though she went to school...beings I had to go get her yesterday...but her daddy insists that we go tonight.
I'm going to head on over to the Dew and try to write a review of one of Clyde Edgerton's books. Don't know which one since I've read three in the last week or so. I'm reading Lunch At The Picadilly now. Did I tell yall that he's coming to town next week. I'm excited about meeting him and hearing him speak. Anyhoo...go on over later and visit.
Oh, and I have a special assignment for my computer class this week. If yall want to do it, too...you might do better than I am doing. Here's the assignment: Visit
this site. Study Clementine Hunter's work carefully by taking the virtual tour. Then go to Programs-Accessories-Paint on your computer and create a picture of a day in your life in the same artistic design. What she means by "same artistic design"...I have no idea because my pictures are not looking like Ms. Clementine's. I'd love to see what yall come up with. I'm still working on mine...I am so not a computer painter.
Oh, and by the way...I got an email this morning that asked me..."Do you want to enlarge your tally-wacker?" Hello...I don't have a tally-wacker!
