We have tons of food. Charcoal. All lawn furniture moved to the garage and secured. Everything secured. House is in order and the clothes are washed. I've got the newest Oprah magazine and my knitting is out and ready. (I actually remember how to do it!) If we need to evacuate for any reason, we could leave at a moment's notice. Gas tank is full. Staci (thank you, Girl!) has a place for us if we need to get out of town. I don't forsee having to leave. (I'd have heck trying to get M to leave his horses so it's a good thing we don't have to leave now.) I'm planning to gather my little chickadees here at home and I'll be fine. MawMaw Esther, AnnaBanana, and NannyNannyBoBanny are all coming to stay with us tomorrow. A is out of school and we don't have class at the college I work at and attend. (I didn't feel like doing my homework tonight, anyway.) We have to work til noon and then I'm coming home to stay.
Anyhoo...they've got an "Inland Hurricane Watch" for central Louisiana. We're only about 125 miles inland from Lake Charles. We're expecting heavy rains, possible flooding, and winds up to 75 miles per hour.
I'm thankful that so many evacuated. I am saying my prayers for all those on the roads trying to get out. We are going to be okay. I pray for the everyone else's safety as well. I'll try to write again soon.
