Rodeo night...whooooohoooooo!
Man! I have so much fun on rodeo nights! A says I hold Pride back but I think I'm doing just fine. Thank you very much. It's all about having fun for me. Man! I love riding my horse! Trail riding...rodeo...it doesn't matter. Just being on my horse is pure heaven to me! I posted some pictures of Anna on the poles from tonight. M took some pictures of me tonight but he forgot to turn the flash on so none of them turned out good enough to keep. We'll try again next rodeo...'cause I need proof that I'm doing this!A's been taking riding lessons with a lady we know. This lady really knows her stuff and is really good with A. A's worked with Ms. D for three weeks now...and omigosh! Let me tell you...this is money well-spent!!! She placed second in both barrels and poles tonight...and ran straight flag in 16 seconds! An incredible improvement this week! We're so proud of her and her confidence was boosted tremendously! Did I say I am sooooooo proud of my baby girl?
Okay...I just need to voice my thoughts here. Now you know...my girl, A...is beautiful. She's talented. She's smart. And she can ride a horse. I've always taught her to do her best and go for her dream. I've always taught her that she can do anything that she sets her mind to. When I got our latest riding club newsletter today...I find this: "October 28-29, 2005: Amicus Club Rodeo. Cowboys get ready to ride and cowgirls get ready to run for queen, princess, or maid." Why did this strike me wrong? I mean...maybe it's just the wording. Really...I'm sure that's what it is. But I tell you if they have barrels, poles, or straight flags at that rodeo...and only let the boys ride...I'm going to be pissed. I don't even know if A will run for princess because she's not much for all that beauty pageant stuff. Of course, the promise of a new foo-foo rodeo outfit may just be reason enough for her subject herself to such pageantry. She does love fancy clothes! Anyhoo.
Well, I guess I need to go take a bath and try to get some sleep...right after I eat my Frosted Shredded Mini Wheats and milk. I'm just so worked up and excited after we come home from a rodeo. I can't seem to unwind.
Oh...and yall check out The Dew this weekend. I'm going to try to submit an article tomorrow if I can get it out of my head. Idgie's got some great contributors who write some great stuff! It's worth checking out on regular basis!
Okay...off to the tub...and hopefully...to sleepy land!
