What's cooking tonight?

Yall want to know? Tonight's assignment...uh, I mean, supper is Low-Fat Lasagna Mexicana. I had a choice between Quick Chicken a'la King but if I had to bet...and betting on my bunch to like something I cook isn't wise... but I think I have a better chance with the Lasagna Mexicana. We shall see.

I got my first lesson today and I think I'm going to enjoy my cooking class. I think some of the recipes may be pushing the envelope with my family...but shoot, they don't like stuffed burgers and chicken nachos. Weird people.

Oh, I had lunch with Christybelle today at "our" place. It was so cool to get to see my old friend. She's not old. We've just been friends a long time. Anyhoo, I was interrupted by a call from A. She's at MawMaw's and the two of them (A is 10 and MawMaw is 70-something) are babysitting M's three-year-old grand-daughter. Well, AnnaBanana was running around screaming acting like a maniac. I calmly asked my daughter..."What has MawMaw done to make her stop?" When A said..."Nothing." I politely and quietly said..."I'll call you back." Then I resumed my conversation with my friend who currently lives in Florida...that I only get to see once or twice a year. Lack of action on your part does not make it an emergency on my part. When we finished lunch and I was in the parking lot of the restuarant, I called A back to check on them. AnnaBanana was almost asleep. I asked A if I needed to drive all the way across town to come make AnnaBanana behave. Lucky for all three of them, I didn't. My precious, lovely, wonderful MIL is a precious, lovely, and wonderful grandmother. But how she ever managed to raise two kids is beyond me. I guess it's a grandmother thing...she doesn't want to be mean. I understand that...but AnnaBanana will test you to the limits. She's a not a bad kid...just a normal three-year-old. Friday's a'coming. Dear heavens...AnnaBanana's mother must be in hog heaven right now. Oh, but Friday's a'coming.

I've got a headache today. I hope that's not foreshadowing...because I have to go to Walmart after work today.
