Prayers for a friend...
I just got word from my high school friend, J...about our mutual high school friend, S. My heart breaks for her. This is what J told me...S had a bad mammogram come back a couple of weeks ago. I am sure you know her family history of breast cancer. The doctors referred her to a doctor in New Orleans. She had bilateral prophylactic mastectomies on both breasts. She is doing well but in a bit of pain. She's in ICU but will be moved to a private room in the near future. She'll have to get up and start walking around when she gets to her room.
If you say prayers, please keep her in them. I share this because I think S would agree...if I can get one woman to pick up the phone and make an appointment with her doctor...good has been done. I picked up the phone yesterday. I hope you will do it today!
