Awwww...yall are so sweet!

To everyone who's emailed me because I haven't written since the finale: I am okay. I've been off work since last Thursday so I've been able to keep my mind busy by keeping my body busy. I'm afraid that I don't have anything exciting to write about 'cause all I've been doing is working around the house. I finished planting my garden...and we finally got some rain...but my daddy says I need to thin out my tomato plants. I worked so hard out there...and the last thing I wanted to hear was that I needed to replant some of my tomato plants. But I plan on working on that tomorrow evening after work.

My little blue chihuahua had a bad seizure Friday...can I tell you that I was really, really freaked out. As I write today, she's napping in my lap just like she always does but I was scared to death Friday. A and I had gone to Walmart. We hadn't been gone more than an hour and a half. When we got home, Daisy was in the courtyard thrashing her body around...her head pulled to one side...eyes dilated. I grabbed her up and went to my closet where we sat in the quiet dark for a minute or two. She's had these before and the doctor said to take her to a quiet dark place...and if it doesn't subside within a minute or two...bring her to the vet. I don't know why they tell me that...but I do it. Well, she didn't get better...she seemed to actually get worse. I don't think I even waited two minutes before we were back in the truck with melting popsicles and a month's work of groceries...heading for the vet's office. Anyhoo...long story short...they kept her all afternoon. She's going to be okay but she has to take Phenobarbitol every day for the rest of her life. If I forget to take MY medicine one day, that's one thing...but I can NEVER forget to give Daisy her medicine. Now that's pressure.

I want to go see Bo in Birmingham but my dear precious husband says it's too far and won't let me get tickets. He says we'd go if he were coming to New Orleans? Why aren't they coming to New Orleans...would you please tell me?

I'm finally getting my bedroom and bathroom painted. I went with Victorian Garnet on the walls in the bedroom and Tree Peony in the bathroom. We've got the first coat on the walls in the bedroom and I'm just loving it. I went to Michael's today and got some of that stone-looking spray paint and I painted my end table. But I think I'm going to decorate really sparsely in that room. I want it to be clean and clutter-free. That room seems to attract the dirt, dust and dog hair so I want as few things in there as possible. I'll try to get some pictures posted as soon as we get it finished.

I need to get some more pictures on Flickr because I know yall are tired of looking at my kitchen sink. Actually, so am I.
