American Idol review...

It's getting really tough to review these contestants. We're at the point that somebody good has to go. Tuesday night performances are critical. Did yall vote? I did. I was a good Bo-ter.

Carrie: Why in the world did she choose this song? Don't get me wrong. I love this song. Carrie just can't pull a song like "Sin Wagon" off. She's too angelic. She seems to lean toward songs like this. Her image is too fresh to be believeable. I find it quite annoying that she tries to convince me otherwise. Of course, Pink Hair Amy sang this song last year the night before she got voted off...if I'm not mistaken. She sang it better than the Dixie Chicks in my opinion...and Carrie just didn't come near as good as Pink Hair Amy. Okay...on If You Don't Know Me By Now...she did better. But tonight was not a WOW-me night. Carrie better hope her fans vote like crazy.

Bo:Well, if Bo's going to sing country...Travis Tritt is the right choice. But I'm feeling that Bo just didn't really "feel" it either on this one. Still and all, it was Bo...and it's all good. Now, on For The Love Of Money...HE'S BACK!!! Now that's the rocker we love! And I'm sorry, Simon...the image is pure Bo. I do hope that when Bo wins he doesn't let AI change him into something that he isn't. That has me worried.

Vonzell:Something's wrong with Vonzell tonight. I don't know what it is but she's shaky and tense. It's a good song choice. I'm sitting through this song...loving it one minute...hating it the next. Why is she crying? What happened today that was so bad? I feel for her. How decent of Simon for leaving it alone. On her second song, I think she did much better but I think the judges were a bit easy on her because of her crying spell on the first song. I don't know...She's so graceful and beautiful but I'm not sure she pulled it off tonight.

Anthony:Oh, Anthony did a wonderful job on I'm Already There. I don't think Simon has ever heard this song. And he didn't really LISTEN to it tonight because he doesn't have a clue as to who's point of view the song was sung from...or what the song meant. He acted like Anthony was singing about already making it. Simon, for your information...it was a love song about being away from your family...and the ties that bind a father and child and a husband and wife. Hello!!! Simon just doesn't get country music. If You Don't Know Me By Now...Anthony sang it really good tonight...but why did he sing the same song as Carrie? Surprisingly, I think he did better than both the girls tonight.

Based on tonight's performances, I'd say....Bo, Anthony, Carrie, Vonzell. And it's a close tie between Carrie and Vonzell. Vonzell may pull the sympathy vote tonight. Carrie better worry. I'll be disappointed if Anthony goes before one of the girls. Bo...is untouchable.

Between the girls...both Vonzell and Carrie are very beautiful girls. Carrie has stronger vocals but she can get very boring after a while. While Vonzie is not as strong vocally but she can get you on your feet dancing. I'm leaning towards Vonzell.

I know we've heard a lot about a Carrie/Bo finale. I'm not sure that's going to happen. But I don't think Vonzell or even Anthony can compete with Bo in the finale. It will be a sure thing for Bo...if Vonzell or Anthony is in the top two. But you can't compare Carrie and Bo...they both know who they are and the are really good in their own genres of music. Bo is better at picking songs than Carrie.

Well, tomorrow is the busiest day of my work year...graduation checkouts. So I may not even be home from work at 8:00 pm tomorrow night. I'm hoping and praying those checkouts go fast tomorrow and I can come home to see the results.
