A smile and a frown...

Something that made me smile yesterday...

I went by the catfish house to pick up some supper right after work last night. As I was picking up my order, the sweetest little old man and his wife were paying for their supper. They both smiled and said..."Hello." I did the same. I noticed as they were leaving...the little old man held her hand carefully as he walked his wife to the car and opened the car door for his wife. I smiled at the sweetness of a love that obviously had weathered many years and was still as fresh as the day it began. Sweet love!

Something that made me frown yesterday...

I left the catfish house and decided that I really needed to stop for some gas. I wasn't close to the Chevron station that I usually stop at and where I would normally use my gas card. But I really needed to get some gas so I stopped at the little convenience store by my house. I didn't want to get much because I was going to stop today and get some at the Chevron. I pulled out three dollar bills from my purse...but then I realized that $3.00 would only get me a little over a gallon of gas. Put that $3.00 up and pulled out a $5.00 bill...not that $5 would get me too much more. Man.
