The Southern Goddess pretends she's a goddess, but in reality (she tries to stay in touch,occasionally), she's a full-time working wife, mom, full-time college student, garden lover, wannabee writer, horsewoman, and scrapbooker who pretends she lives in an old South antebellum home surrounded by lovely people who just live to serve her every whim. In truth, she struggles to keep up with day to day life while dreaming of the day when her house is clean, laundry is all done, errands are run, and her life is easy. She pretends she has all the time in the world, but really, she would love to have more time to ride her horses, record her family history in scrapbooks, write profound and inspirational poetry and catch moments in time with her camera. Oh, and blog. She shares her life with hubby, Monkey (not Rhett), Ava (the greatest "teenager" on Earth), four dogs (Lady Bella Grace, Blue Daisy, Captain and Teki) and Robert, the cat who thinks he's God.

Life begins after 4:30 pm...

I've got a sick kid at MawMaw's so after work, I've got to go to town to pick her up. Then I'm going to stop by our fancy dancy Winn Dixie on the way home for 2 lbs. of fresh green asparagus, a chopped onion, some butter and some sour cream. I'm going home and making Poppy's Cream of Asparagus soup. Yum, Yum! A's going to hate me. But I imagine that she'll won't be too hungry anyway. I have been trying to get my DSL hooked up since Sunday...unsuccessfully. At this point...I hate it.Hopefully, I will finally get it hooked up before American Idol comes on...because I really like to "Live Blog". I'll do some laundry and clean the house some. I guess I'll try to ride Pride tomorrow night. Hopefully, I will be back tonight.
