Answers to Life's questions...
Here are the answers to the questions that Preacher Beege asked me...1.) What is it about your best friend that makes them your best friend?
My closest friends inspire me. They enlighten me. They make me smile. They challenge me to open my eyes and my heart. I do hope that I do the same for my friend as well. When I stop feeling this way, it's time to re-evaluate my life and the friendship.
2.) What is your greatest fear that you've overcome? What is the next one you want to take on?
There have been several decisions that I've made that I was terrified to make. Mostly, it was the fear of the unknown.. I didn't know how things would turn out or how my decisions would affect the ones I loved and cared about. I'm happily married with the most wonderful daughter in the world. So those decisions turned out okay. I'm not sure how my family feels about me becoming a Catholic but I'm happy and I guess that's what matters. M calls me a "cafeteria Catholic"...but I still feel good about my faith. The next fear I want to overcome? Hummm....Maybe I want to start a business. I don't know what...but I'd like to work for myself...and be successful.
3.) What is your favorite cheese and why?
Mild cheddar...because you asked.
4.) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I love Louisiana and I don't see myself ever leaving. I love the little town that Steel Magnolias was filmed in. I would probably buy me a little place on the water up there. But the truth is anywhere where I have my family and my animals...I'm home.
5.) When you get angry, how do you release that anger?
If I were disciplined enough, I'd write. I feel better when I write. But most of the time, I go saddle up Pride and go for a ride. The physical work of saddling up the horse and then the pleasure of the wind blowing on my face...and then the physical work of unsaddling, bathing, brushing, and feeding him seems to free my mind and heart from my anger. If I can't ride Pride, I usually rant and rave.
