When someone holds the door open for you...

As I left for lunch, I held the door open for a student who walking my way. Now, I wish I hadn't. You know, the least a person can say after walking through a door that was held open for you is THANK YOU! This student walked passed me without even acknowledging me...or the fact that the door was being held for her...and I said where she could hear me...YOU'RE WELCOMED. I felt like smacking her! But I didn't because that wouldn't be polite! Ugh. What is this world coming to? I hope the very least I've taught A is to be polite when someone does something nice for her...no matter how small.
