Not the typical Tuesday night...

The typical Tuesday night...come straight home from work, feed horses, fix supper and watch American Idol.

Last night was different. So different that I forgot it was Tuesday until 7:00 pm.

I stopped by the grocery store on the way home and then I went to pick up A. We unloaded the truck. I decided to take my refridgerator apart and deep clean it as I was putting the groceries up. Obviously, I forgot it was Tuesday. I took the crispers, the glass shelving, and the metal shelving out. I scrubbed the fridge down so good that it just shines. But right about the time that I had everything out of the fridge...food and shelving, A comes running in the house screaming that Ellie's butt was wet and she was skinny again. This means we have kittens...somewhere. So I leave the fridge wide open...food out all over the place...and refridgerator shelving in the sink and go check on Ellie-cat and her babies. When I get up to the loft, it's obvious that she wants me to find her babies but I don't hear anything. I don't want to move too much because I don't want to disturb her and make her want to move them. So we just watch her and listen. Finally, I moved a bale of hay and found a tunnel that she had made to have her babies. A reached down and says she counted six babies. It was too dark in the loft for me to see...but I'm going out there first thing when I get home to see for myself. So once I got A calmed down, we went ahead and fed the horses while we were out there. Then I had to go back into that hell that was my kitchen. M called and said he was on his way home. So I busted my butt getting that refridgerator back together...at which time, A "remembered" she has tons of homework so she couldn't help me. I'm sitting on the floor finishing up the fridge and A is on the phone with her friend, H telling her about the kittens...(I thought she had homework?) and H tells A that AI is on! Oh, my gosh...it's 7:00 and I didn't even realize it was Tuesday!

We interrupt this post for my personal AI opinions:

Jessica: I've still got Total Eclipse of the Heart in my head. I love her sexy, smoky voice. Great job last night.
Anwar: The boy must have read my blog...cause he definitely put a little more energy into his performance last night. I think he did a fine job on a Chaka Chan song. Maybe not his best performance but definitely fun to watch.
Mikalah: Dear God...girl...go home. Hideous, awful, absolutely horrible.
Constantine: Dear God...boy...go home. Now, I like David Cassidy...and I think it was probably a good song choice for Constantine...but the boy just can't sing.
Anthony: I was cleaning the fridge and missed his performance. But it really irked me when Simon said..."You're trying to be sexy." What the heck did you mean by that? I guess Simon thinks that you're not sexy unless you are Simon Cowell. Ugh. There are different kinds of sexy and sexy means different things to different people. Simon is right about some things but on some things...he needs to realize that he's not the all-be all.
Nadia: Nothing special in her performance last night.
Bo: Bo is my heart...he is a star no matter what. Last night's performance wasn't his best in my opinion. But I love him anyway.
Vonzell: I want to be her friend cause she just looks like a cool person to hang out with. Last night wasn't her best...just okay.
Scott: I really didn't want him to do well...because of my dream (see earlier post)...but I have to admit...the boy can sing. I was upset with Ryan's little "greasy glasses" remark. Some things just don't need to be said...it obviously embarrassed Scott.
Carrie: AMAZING! Glad she tried something different. Great job.
Nikko: I've really tried...but I'm just not a Nikko fan. I wanted to like him...and I just haven't been impressed.

If Mikalah doesn't go home, you'll be able to hear me scream where ever you are.

Back to regular programming...

Oh, well...I guess after supper and AI...it was life as normal. Just a typical Tuesday night.
